There is such a thing as Big Black Dog Syndrome.
Fact: Black dogs and cats are the last to be adopted and the first to be euthanized.
Those shining black coats, mean nothing. They will be at your shelter the longest, no matter how sweet their disposition, no matter how loving or how needy they are.
For example, look at Handsome Howie. He still has not been adopted. What that dog went through is unbelievable and a year and a half of recover and training, and he has yet to find his forever home, and I will bet you anything, it is because he is mostly black.
